Was looking forward to a nice hot shower (without thongs) but on arrival back home we discovered the hot water system decided to burst whilst we were away so a kettle warmed bath was the best we could muster. Trip went way too quick and just wanted to keep it going. The Hippie Camper was great, purred like a kitten and never skipped a beat its a shame we had to give it back. We are keen to do it again, the sooner the better.
Bye little Hippie Camper Bye..... ;-(

Hippie style wining, dining and snuggling along the beautiful Queensland coast with my Australian girlfriend.
As an English warrior, I survived the crocs, sharks and jellyfish. All thanks to the locals friendly advice on safe swimming beaches – "They're all safe. When your times up, your times up!".
Many highlights including 3 days diving the the Great Barrier Reef and night diving with sharks at Gotham City. Highly recommend the liveaboard trip which was topped off by a swim with visiting Minke whales to our boat side. Then lots more fun to follow as we sky dived 14.000 ft over gorgeous Mission Beach, soaked up the sun with a cocktail on Dunk Island and made a cosy beach night campfire back on the mainland. The rainforest walks were also amazing. But I now know the difference between hungry little caterpillars and leaches!
However it wasn't all smooth running. One night while alfresco dining at the back of our Hippie restaurant, my girlfriend slammed the boot closed and 'Hippie', YES HIPPIE killed my iPhone. It was a sad moment and the romance of the evening was lost. Even the heavens opened and cried at beautiful Paronella Park. Must be time to update to the new iPhone4!
The next day we woke to a beautiful sunrise and new adventure with Hippie as we travelled and explored from dawn to dusk. This was a holiday I will never forget. Living the dream Hippie style!

Are you looking for heart-pounding thrills? Want to stretch your brain and build new synapses? Desperate to put your relationship to the test? If you answered "yes" to these questions, let us recommend driving in Sydney! You will love the challenge of driving on the left side of the road, while sitting on the right side of the vehicle, and shifting with your left hand. Throw in speed limits in kilometers, some parallel parking, and plentiful roundabouts and you have a recipe for excitement. Take our word for it - the first dozen times you attempt to use your turn signal, your windshield wipers will be flailing, fellow drivers will be honking, and your significant other will be slouching pronouncedly to avoid eye contact with bystanders.
Thrilled by the prospect of the open road after many months of public transport, we rented a campervan for our month-long sojourn in The Land Down Under. To ensure that we were not mistaken for locals (as if our driving prowess didn't make it obvious enough), we hired an ultra conspicuous and blatantly feminine van bedazzled with pink and purple flowers and emblazoned with the words "Hippie Camper".
